Happy New Year everyone! Visiting parents in Pittston, PA (just SW of Scranton). Very snowy/wintry night. Have picked up about 1.5” on the evening and expecting good Arctic Front squall a little later.

We are a mother fucking snow town. There is zero denying this

Well, I wasn't expecting much until the squall later, but we've got a nice quarter inch coating on everything so far and still pixie dust snowing as I type.

Hooray! Number 2! I used Apr-May SLP in the North Atlantic, it's a strong indicator.

Wow, 3 of the 4 warmest December's were in the last 4 years. That kind of thing exceeds climate change, it means that we have a strong pattern in place that is several years ongoing..

Had some snow flurries a little while ago. Another huge road salt dump late this afternoon. Trucks dumping salt and spraying brine all over the place.

We need a countdown ball for the squall line.

Meanwhile it’s raining here in Vegas lol. Actually a decent consistent steady light rain in progress. I return to the east side next week…I might be ready for a blizzard by then.

Thank God we have something to track. Even though I knew this early-January period might not work out, I was still kinda getting a little bit restless.
