You do realize the majority of playoff games in the 70's and 80's and even some 90's were during the day? Like on Tuesday and what not?

Due to the weaker intensity of sunlight, though, it doesn't feel as hot as a July day would. And in shade it feels rather pleasant.

Allot of the seasons you are referencing were during the low frequency period of the AMO so they really aren’t applicable. Regardless we’ll see, I’ll have high number in my forecast for next season regardless. .

Was at 88.9 on my weather station at about 3pm. Said the heat index was 96 at the time. WTH!!
