  1. Past hour
  2. Unfortunately, window units have 10 to 12 year lifespan in my experience.
  3. 81 mph gust recently recorded at Lorain County airport
  4. Highs: New Brnswck: 87 ACY: 87 EWR: 86 TEB: 86 PHL: 86 LGA: 85 TTN: 85 BLM: 84 NYC: 84 JFK: 82 ISP: 79
  5. GFS seems to be favoring southerly winds again at 18z with even an Ambrose Jet like setup in the afternoons. That would cap temps to mid 80s on the south shore if that, and the city/north shore to maybe low 90s. We're not getting high end heat in the city and east with strong southerly flow. The water temp off Jones Beach today is only 64. There would definitely be plenty of humidity but I highly doubt 95+ without westerly winds. NJ and Hudson Valley where seabreezes don't cap the heat is a different story.
  6. It's here ! done put both units in this evening, took about 40 minutes, identical LG units 8,000 BTUs about 8 years old purchased from costco. they are showing their age
  7. Mine said 90, but who knows. I always seem to run warmer
  8. anybody want to play a ball game? Nope? Raining everywhere?
  9. I had rain overnight and this morning. Cleared up do nice til before.
  10. I wonder if we will get an old fashioned heat wave, 5+ days of 90+ temps, coming up this weekend in to next week.
  11. I would say we saw 50-55 mph winds as it came through. Tornado warning just to my SE.
  12. I saw a weak wall cloud Not much going on, too crazy, after that. Just heavy rain, trees in town didn't shake violently or anything. Not a lot of lightning
  13. Assuming things dry out, there could be another opportunity.
  14. Manheim/Lititz and eastern Lanco got wamboozled this afternoon.
  15. Yeah, I mowed part of my yard and I think my lawnmower was sick cause it was blowing chunks.
  16. I had a buddy send me some pics of decent flooding in Manheim. Looks like some spots up there got damn near two inches in a half hour, including a half inch in five minutes at one point. Intense.
  17. Got a quick 1/3” at home from that batch, but my actual location during the storm near Costo Allentown must have been at least an inch. It was a torrential downpour and heavy storm. .
  18. we had it in the morning you're getting it now.
  19. I agree, I guess I am asking that if the chances are higher than normal for both NYC and JFK to hit 100 degrees at least once in July, like they did during the 2010-2013 era.
  20. Today
  21. Not shabby. Move the decimal one place to the left at that’s about where I’m at.
  22. Yesterday
  23. I expect July and August will both be warmer than normal. The pattern that is now evolving will likely be the dominant pattern this summer. I don't think next week's excessive heat will be the last such outbreak this season.
  24. Yeah. If dewpoints really are in the mid 70s, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a lot of low 90s for highs. Nights on the other hand are going to be awful.
