    We're in the Falls watershed near Laurel Creek (a couple of miles SW of the NC50/NC98 intersection) so we drain into Falls Lake. July to date: 7.3" + 0.25" (Friday evening) + 12 BIG drops over the weekend + 1.6" yesterday evening = 9.1" We had 4.6" in June We've lived in this house since '92 and this is one of the wettest June/July periods we've had. Obviously when you get to Aug/Sept some of the tropical events over the years have delivered large amount of rain, but for June/July it's been outstanding this year.

    I'm honestly surprised that SPC hasn't upgraded that area to a tornado watch.

    The other thing to consider is that cell @yoda mentioned is in an area and continuing ito areas that the blob of precip has been impacting...so if it holds/intensifies it could be a good indicator for downstream. My only concern is that by the time that stuff shifts closer, we will be well beyond peak heating. We will have to rely on better forcing to continue the threat. Though....it does remain QUITE soupy out there.

    Latest HRRR continues to not be impressed with storm/rain chances the rest of today for many of the LSV area aside from areas near the MD border. The real bust for now has been central PA where this light to moderate rain all day and cloud cover has really put a lid on things .

    Hardly any rain here today in the Financial District, although NWS just issued a special weather statement and flash flood warning. I’m not sure what they’re seeing on the radar but I’ll take their word for it.

    I mean - my rational side says that all the junk around is going to lessen our threat substantially - but the Morgantown cell plus that one entering WV from OH does have me intrigued as those are heading in our general direction.
