Don't know if anyone noticed, but many of the MR models are showing a big hit of BN over the Conus east of the Mississippi at the end of their runs for the past few days. 18z EuroAi and Gfs are pretty impressive with 12z support on the Gefs and Geps.

Edit: Euro weeklies are on board too as the first 3 weeks (surprisingly) are BN in much of the east.

Way out there but euro ai has had a number of runs recently that spin up a big storm in the D11-13 range and brings in cold air behind it. Probably would be first freeze chance for IAD and NW burbs if something like that happens.

The Euro AI and AI ENS, for better or worse, seem to be deadly in the D5-D8 range lately. I would mark this D11-D13 potential pattern reshuffle as an initial benchmark for whether patterns get can kicked or come in as advertised.
