Avdave
I know its mid August and this is NC, but I'm so done with the heat and humidity. Its has been just relentless for us this summer. I'm done with it and yet we have all of Sept to go through with it too. 2
marsman
83F / 77 dew. Feels like 92, even with the cloudy skies. The sun is starting to poke out more, which is just gonna make it worse.
KChuck
Had a surprising fog this morning north of Kernersville. I'd give it a scale of 3 out of 10 when I got up about 7:45.
marsman
98F/ 78 dew. Feels like 115. Watching the storms arriving from the NW doing their usual thing and falling apart as they hit the triangle.
EarlGrey
These showers are fizzling out faster than the panthers offense in the 4th quarter.

GaWx
I just started getting decent thunderstorm rains ~7PM. This month so far has been quite beneficial for the lawns and may allow me to keep the sprinklers off the rest of the month! Edit: My total today was ~0.1”. eyewall Posted yesterday at 12:10 PM Share Posted yesterday at 12:10 PM The heat is awful! I was hoping we would be done with it but that was naive of me to even think that would be the case.
yotaman Posted yesterday at 12:20 PM Share Posted yesterday at 12:20 PM Yesterday we had a high of 92, just missed a nice storm but it did cool it off a bit. Excessive heat warning in effect today. Upper 90's once again. So sick of this heat.
olafminesaw Posted yesterday at 12:44 PM Share Posted yesterday at 12:44 PM I can't remember a stretch when we've had so many days of marginal/slight risk with only 20-30% chance of storms.
SouthboundYank
Currently 98 degrees and 78 DP, with an apparent "real feel" of 116. Haven't checked many inland readings but I'm sure they're worse. We considered hitting the beach this afternoon, but with winds at only between 5-7 mph, an excessive heat warning out for today, and an excessive heat watch already hoisted for tomorrow, I think we'll wait until Wednesday. It's just generally hotter than Satan's anus anywhere up and down the Grand Strand today and likely tomorrow.
yotaman
Excessive heat warning for us too. Currently 97/80 for a feels like of 117. 1

calculus1
Big time storms fixing to blow through Dallas and Gastonia. What ya doing down in the lowlands, @Met1985 ? I would think the heat/humidity combo would be intolerable for a mountain man such as yourself! (It’s intolerable for us, too!)

That just insane. Of course had a nice line beelining it for me and then poof it separated, typical lately.
