Deep thunder in the distance. Had to cut my hoops sesh short bc quite frankly I don’t like the idea of the smoke hiding the lightning. The grass here is mostly green…kinda wild seeing others to the east struggling to get precip.

Lot of thunder and lightning but first storm went North and second storm with the tornado went south.

Just saw an awesome lightning strike looking south. That storm is all business.

My youngest just got caught out in it driving. That tornado warning went up just south of my house. Looking at radar some heavy stuff went over my house. I am in DE and relaying stuff back to her.

Oh wow, you’re missing a fireworks display. This is one of the finest lightening shows I’ve seen. Looking south it’s cg after cg.

I guess we'll see what we get over here later... supposedly parameters are better out this way

While everyone is focused on the severe weather risk, we've busted into Heat Advisory criteria south of I-70. Some places pushing 110s for heat index.

I got caught a little off guard on my 10 mile hike this morning. That sun came out and the heat index went nuts. It kicked my butt a little bit. Prime environment for big rainers for some.

I mentioned in the severe thread, but the lightning today region wide in these storms will be no joke. A combination of lots of water and lots of lift in the phase transition layer is going to equal a lot of lightning.

Just had a neighborhood strike. Absolutely incredible lighting display around here with these storms. Top 10 for me.

Well I am under a Tornado Watch over here in Deleware. And it is very humid and windy. Checking my station and it is at 2.61” so far. That is after the .61” from this mornings stuff that went through. Kid made it home from dropping off her friend at her house. Will have to wait and see what goes on over here.
