More of a fizzle I'm afraid.... It's a good soaking for most tomorrow morning. And I wouldn't call its forecast for today a fizzle; it's just more isolated with its heavier amounts, and it's a bit of an outlier in that regard.

Weather Will
Well, WB 3K NAM now has a Tuesday soaker for southern zones. Significant shift north compared to 6Z. I guess this is why we always go crazy all winter... precip. Field making big shifts inside 24 hours.

SnowenOutThere
Shear looks better than forecasted last night. Surface winds are nearly due south instead of the more westerly direction shown by the models.
WxUSAF
GFS is pretty solid for tomorrow. That might be the main rainmaker across the region. Especially Delmarva.

CAPE
This morning Mount Holly actually had 1-2" in the forecast here for tonight, with a quarter to a half inch today. I knew that forecast was a bust. Now a half to three quarters tonight, and pretty much nothing this afternoon/early evening. See what it gives. There's always the delayed but not denied thing for tomorrow if tonight underwhelms with another piece of energy slowing the front. I'm sure it will all work out. dailylurker
Heavy tropical rain and a bunch of lightning just rolled through the lowlands of AA County. I don’t hate the radar. I can already hear the cell near DC. Hopefully this area is about to get some training.

Wintrest
Glorious in N. Arlington. It’s been steady for at least 30 min, and dumping for the last 15. Heaviest of this particular storm right now. When clean gutters can’t handle the intensity, you’ve generally got a good thing… especially if you grow food. The intensity died down tremendously while writing that post - gutters functioning as intended. Hope for many more of these events. I prefer an inch over a few hours vs. over two days.
