Looking forward to a real taste of summer next week. Briefly hit 60 around 1 pm. Temps dropping again, with rain on the doorstep. BTW, is ev1 else having a slow time of it here today? Site seems to be running heavy. 1
cyclone77
Picked up 0.01" this morning. This evening's stuff is a whiff just to the northeast.
mjwise
Even before today's rain, this is DeKalb's first above average June for precipitation since 2018.
weatherbo
Point has 90 and 92 for next Monday and Tuesday. Not sure the last time I had back-to-back 90's. MQT there is a non-zero chance that a Heat Advisory or more could be needed for portions of Upper Michigan, particularly in the west where the NBM is already hinting at high temperatures approaching 100 on Monday. We could see similar temperatures on Tuesday into the middle of next week as well, provided that enough sunshine reaches the sfc those days.
Brian D
Upper 30's/40's this morning again. Highs around 70 today. Missed out on any rain yesterday as it dried up before reaching town. Areas to my W picked up 0.50-2" where the rain slowly moved through before dissipating.
OrdIowPitMsp
Would be cool to go from this unbelievable stretch of weather we’ve had lately to 100 on Monday. It’s going to be close!

cyclone77
Sunday starts what looks to be at least 2 weeks of 70+ degree dews, with a few 80+ degree days mixed in as well. 1
weatherbo
Temps in Marquette County this morning ranging from upper 30's inland to upper 40's near shore, 42 here at the house. Probably the last sub-50 morning for a while. Hot and stormy looking good next week. 2
Brian D
Upper 30's/40's across the area this morning. High in the 70's today. Temps looking like summer starting this weekend, along with stm chances. Svr wx with tors looking likely as we end June, into early July.

Torchageddon
It'll be nice not to have to wear slippers and a hoodie indoors, I have 9 months of that to endure as is; I don't need more of that in summer ffs.
cyclone77
Pretty nice MCV making a direct hit on the MSP area this morning. Dews are in the 60s here this morning, but should be well into the 70s by this afternoon. Non-stop 70s to occasionally 80s for dews from here on out until at least July 10th. Ready 2 sweat. Really nice unexpected treat this morning. Looks like a wake low. Healthy amount of rain will keep the garden happy with the incoming heat.
hawkeye_wx
Why are the CAMs often bad with the lasting power and southward extent of an MCS like the one moving across Iowa this morning. Even as they rerun every 1-3 hours, they just can't see the south half of the line and keep trying to crap it out too quickly.

Best short term model by far.
Brian D
Shwrs/stms have been developing regularly around the Lake this morning. Nice to see some decent rain.
Torchageddon
Short term forecast was mainly cloudy this aft, I know not what the pops % were but it was pretty low. Gets dark at noon, find light to mod rain coming fast outta nowhere. This is the 2nd worst short term peg this year. The aft is cooked. My 7 day is changing wildly run to run so any precip is a pure guess.

cyclone77
Dew hit 79 here and at MLI today. Didn't feel too bad though with the 30mph winds. MLI only made it down to 78 degrees this morning.
hawkeye_wx
The big question for us this week is when do the storms begin to reach our area. The Euro says Wednesday night, but other models say not til the weekend.
TheClimateChanger
I'm tracking some of this smoke, but haven't seen much note of it... however, if the HRRR is correct, it could get pretty nasty over parts of the region - including potentially the Twin Cities. Wonder if this might keep high temperatures in check tomorrow?
TheClimateChanger
This looks absolutely insane too. Canada is just dotted with fires seemingly from the Rockies all the way to the Atlantic Coast. What the heck is even burning up near the Arctic Circle? Nuts.
