East Nantmeal current temp is 92.7 the high has been 93.0. This is the 3rd consecutive day  I have reached 90 degrees. This marks only the 8th "heatwave" I have recorded in my 23 summers here in EN since 2004. Of note my poorly sited rooftop Tempest has gone 95.4 / 98.2 / 94.8 the last 3 days vs my VP Pro 2 with 93.0/94.8/91.0

1st 100 degree reading here on the island in SIC since I have had a station 2012

Looks like little to no sea breeze down the jersey shore. Growing up we were near 2nd & Corinthian St in Ocean City. Only once, in 1995, did we have it where the sea breeze failed to even get halfway through the island.

While I despise this weather to my core, I think I can empathize with sun weenies now.

I’m glad we didn’t get as crazy here….But I mean…. I’m curious to know what 120°F feels like?

Missed the bullseye. Fall line jackpot.

Update: Yesterday, 6 hour max air temp. topped out at 97.2°F. Observation max for today is 96.8°F. Heat index was the same at 108°F. So, a tie.

When I lived in Arizona, 115+ was somewhat common in Phoenix, but the hottest temperature I've ever experienced was 128 in Bullhead City. That was just crazy hot, and pretty much too hot for even this summer loving warmanista. The heat radiating up from the asphalt parking lots almost literally burned my legs.

Back in 1992, I took a trip to Egypt (which included a multi-day Nile cruise.)  This was near the end of July and our final destination before flying back to Cairo, was Abu Simbel, which is about 20 miles north of Sudan. So we are talking the Sahara desert.  Temp was 125F.  The difference was that the humidity was typically 10% or so (it's more humid around Cairo).  That was brutal though and was like your skin was burning.  A bunch of folks in our group got heat sickness, but at least it didn't have the humidity like this!
