Surprising low of 32 this morning in Marysville.

Well there's at least 2 that I've never once seen "waffle" - doesn't mean they're right but I think you're being a little too dismissive just because they don't fit your narrative.

AC will be humming this afternoon. Got up to 71 in the house yesterday and I'm not down with that nonsense again today.

Even though there's still opportunities for snow still to come for the next 40 days or so, Winter is basically on life support now. Spring is trying to takeover. And we should all welcome it after those brutal temps we all experienced for 3 months.

I admit that yesterday was exceptionally nice to be outdoors. And it was obvious judging by the throngs of people on local trails that many, many people were feeling the same way.

Having said that, I'm sorry but I found nothing brutal about this winter. I enjoyed every single bitterly cold day we had and I won't apologize for it.

Its been cold, must welcome the warmth.

Friendly reminder to all sans bias....

1. It's over when Mo Nature says so.  Always has been always will be.  

2. Like it or not, plenty of signs have been showing for the St. Pattys period for shenanigan's.  Doesn't mean snow, but it'll be a kick in da arse cold compared to the spring fling we all are about to enjoy. 

3.Even those of us who love snow and cold. Yesterday was nice to be outside. That's undeniable no matter how big a sno hound one can be.  

4. Someones "ex" favorite met tossed some weather cookies of his own and blew some events (due to his bias, or just getting the call flat wrong?) 

5. It's March 9. Mets and maps have all been wrong enough this year for me to discount nothing.  Last weeks ens guidance said winter was over whle Ops said hold my beer.  Look where we are a week later.  PLENTY of cold/snow showing up.  

6. for those anxiously waiting for spring warmth, you can wish it on all you want but that wont change the date on the calendar.  Your time is coming but for your sanity's sake, tug back on the reins a bit.

I'm headed to cabin this weekend for work weekend.  From what i've seen much ice is gone from Pine.  You should start to drop soon.  

Not sure there's enough of a pattern change to worry about flooding, but hoping drought concerns are mitigated. 

Gonna be what its gonna be.

Happy spring fling all.  Didnt mean to come off as a jackwagon, but its seemed a bit tense as we transition away from winter and what's next.  Every year the first warmup seems to give false hope, and we all should know that its too soon to "call it", let alone squabble over uncertainty.

Here in Carlisle today...this morning's low was 30.6 degrees while this afternoon's high was 73.8 degrees.  This is the first day to reach and exceed the 70 degree mark.  Today's diurnal was a substantial 43.2 degrees.  The normal high temp today is 47.2 and the normal low temp is 26.7 degrees for an average temp of 37.0 degrees.  Today's average temperature was 52.2 degrees which is 15.2 degrees above normal.

Currently, at 6:20pm the temperature is 71.8 degrees.  The skies were clear for the entire day while there was an occasional wind gust up to around 15mph.  A good chunk of the day saw winds of 5-10 mph.

Even with these nice days, I would still check ahead to see who has their outdoor space operating this early. With that said, South County Brewing (site of the old Pressroom) should have a nice outdoor area back on the ‘ol Steinman Park patio. Also, don’t think they have any outdoor seating but if you haven’t been Southern Market is a really cool spot.

Lol, all that NE thread does is constantly stir the pot & bicker with each other. I try to sift through it from time to time, mostly to see a few knowledgeable quality long time poster’s thoughts. Most of it is short post nonsense that adds no value. They are more there to piss each other off than to talk about weather, it seems most of the time.

NYC thread is similar. It’s a shame how Anthony gets treated on there.

Majority of them are friends in person from the SNE subforum.

I think alot of people are just conservative in their approach. Im a winter weenie.

There is 1 maybe 2 guys in the NYC thread who are big trolls.

this is fake spring atm temps to go back down but its nice to have some warm weather. bee's were out in force today but no flowers just yet blooming for them to gather any honey.

SM is closed Tuesdays unfortunately
