samdman95
storms like this make me appreciate the resiliency of the subway system. the fact that service is still up and running even as roads are becoming impassible is kind of incredible

NorthShoreWx
In other news, the snow gods are violently tossing their cookies right now. S+ 30/29 Looks like about 8" at the stake, which means roughly 3" new. I'll do a proper measurement and wipe the boards at midnight.

Wxbear25
Radar south of LI looks paltry now, but watch later as this initial band lifts north and weakens, should see returns bubbling and expanding again Modeling has pretty consistently been having these batches of heavier precip followed by brief lulls for a while now

ForestHillWx
Bands are forming now and slowly rotating in. I’m pushing 2.75” here with heavier rates over the past 1 hour. The premature bust calls never fail; enjoy the storm as it forms.
RCNYILWX
What time is that exactly ? The 07 stuff confuses meThat's Z time, for Zulu time, which is the same thing as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). It's the time system used in meteorology and in aviation. 00z in EST(EDT) is 7pm (8pm), 06z is 1am (2am), 12z is 7am (8am), and 18z is 1pm (2pm).
