SPC outlook for tomorrow.

PHI_swody2.png

Mike, I expect a tornado watch or severe thunderstorm watches to be issued by 3pm in our area. Unlike last weeks storm event, the sun will be coming out in the next few hours based on the satellites imagery. The chances of severe weather will double when this happens with the unstabilized  air mass in place.  I would expect many severe t- storm warnings this evening becuase of it. Its already sunny near Harrisburg. Not a good sign.  This forum will be lighting up later this evening with the severe weather reports. I see Hagerstown MD has a high in the low 80's.  Just prime for tornado formation too.

It's been sunny up in Tamaqua for about 2 hours now.

Up to 63 degrees so far as well.

This morning was the 100th below freezing low of the season here in East Nantmeal. Here in EN we average 97 such days. This is the most below freezing days since 2018-19 when we had 104 days. With records here since 2004 the most were 120 days in 2013-14 and the least only 72 days in 2015-16. We will see below normal temperatures today before we moderate to near normal (low 50's) tomorrow. Thursday we should warm well into the 60's before rain arrives by Friday morning. Much colder this weekend with nighttime lows again below freezing.

We should be close to normal temperatures today (low to mid 50's) before a brief spike to well above normal for The Phillies Opener (upper 60's). Then back to below normal temperatures Friday through the weekend. Shower chances increase tomorrow night into Friday morning with a cold front.

This subforum is a ghost town now that winter is over. I guess the only thing we have to talk about is severe weather or bitch about the upcoming summer heat till Fall...

46F, expected low of 34F

Probably should merge this sub-forum with the NYC sub-forum.

I rather talk/reply to myself all summer long with no one else making a appearance  than the above suggestion.

There are some severe weather nutjobs in this subforum, hurricane screw ups and if we go a month without rain we all know drought guy will say the world will end. Hopefully will get a surprise earthquake , a couple F3-F4 tornadoes and I didn't hear anything about any potential bug plagues but I think overall we'll be alright....

Seriously?

Hell of a way to describe weather enthusiasts who like something other than endless cloudy days, snowstorms, and frigid temperatures that coincide with a dead looking landscape.

I sense quite a bit of sarcasm in that post. I wouldn't take that as offensive.

I hope so, because while I may not be able to grasp the concept of loving cold, snow, and the gloom and mess of winter, I try to respect it.

Seriously?

You like sweating constantly?

Gnats, mosquitoes?

Allergies?

Hearing leaf blowers at 7am on weekends?

If the Phils suck no real home town sports to watch?

No real holidays? Ok, the 4th a little.

And dead looking landscape? Have you seen a dry summer? We had many (consult drought guy)...ya know where the grass turns yellow-brown and crunchy where you can't even walk on it w/bare feet.

Bottom line, the summer sucks for the most part besides severe weather, some fishing/gardening and you have to pray the Phils don't suck. But I'm usually sick of it come mid July and can't wait till Fall.

But yeah, people who love hot weather (95F+/DP 70F+) are mentally ill or have frontal lobe damage.....
