3K NAM continues the dry slot trend, but fills it in slightly.  2-3" for central NC, including Wake.

The snow really doesn't start falling until this time tomorrow.  We spend all day waiting...waiting...waiting.

Just another winter in the Triangke.

This would be insane for Charlotte. But at this point, I don't trust any of the models to tell me what's going to happen.

Gonna say for Charlotte we get 5. And I'll be super happy with it. We haven't seen anything like this for a long time.

God, I hope not.  Did not get a flake out of that one in Forsyth county!

Oof that sucks. I was in the Midlands of SC and we got hammered down there and it was a complete surprise. I’m in the CLT area now, and I’m reading that they got even more. It’s always the first one that comes to mind when I think of the big dogs.

Since there’s like no one from GA in here and our GA folks get no love, I’ll make sure to keep y’all posted in intensity and inches, since it will hit here early morning and end by early afternoon. I’ll let you know how it’s going and try and get some pics and videos. Enjoy y’all! I’m still calling for 2-4” in MBY but 4-5” is not out of the question either, as radars are putting heavy banding right over MBY.

.

I'm here.  Rabun County, Clayton, a few miles from SC on 76E

Does anybody have any good tools to try to see where the low pressure is trying to set up off the coast? I’m talking about something live or updates every hour. I’ve been tracking this for a week so I figure I’d need something to do tonight besides looking at the radar.

I found this interesting. I’m an amateur. Do you have any updates on where you think it might be forming

Yep, and you can see our boundary that is guiding the storm track OTS running right past Hatteras instead of up the coast.

Like I said, I’m an amateur and I’m not sure how to look at that based on that link he posted. Feel like putting me through school real quick. I assume that’s bad news.

Someone had posted this wind field map showing circulations off the coast. I'll leave it to other to indicate if it's useful to see where development may be occurring. I suspect it a snapshot-in-time as opposed to a prediction of how it will move.
