Less than 10:1 ratios in DC for the event, even before the sleet arrives

They are getting ratios that we typically get in SWFE…being not as deep into the arctic airmass.

I’m heading to Jiminy Peak in a bit. Our morning adaptive ski lessons are on (I’m sn instructor) . Afternoon lessons are canceled. I have to balance powder ski runs with not crashing on the way home. Gonna be tough deciding when to leave! Virga here so far around Albany. 4.8F.

That’s an unfortunate drop for many in CT.  But I’ve been saying 12 or less for my spot for days. Luckily never bought into the 18-20 hype.
(I’m that last 13” nub in the northeast corner next to RI)

That's the New London I know.  Makes me think of my days of youth.  Actually seeing 2-3 would be more common.  :)

I think it's more of a function of earlier start time as the amount of sleet is still the same?

Seems like the northern extent of it did tick a little north. Don’t think it affects his area. Might affect places like PYM-EWB but prob not a game-changer in the overall scheme of the storm. An hour or two earlier could cost them a couple inches.

Not saying that will translate directly but just noting it came in a bit less than what they were expecting down there.

If we should get 12:1 with the thump and higher toward the end I won't be complaining.

Yeah I’m hoping all snow but I wouldn’t be shocked at a few pings as lift moves out.

please send me a measurement or post here when it's done. I always get giddy when i can find new reports to fill in Litchfield or Berkshire counties, massive holes there

I’ll send you a measurement after the 12z HRRR and NAM come out.
