Mrs.J
Upon seeing the back edge on radar we went out for what we hope is our last driveway clear. Totals are 6” snow and 4” sleet. The sleet was the worst to clear off of the driveway. Was like shoveling sand.

Ltrain
27/23 with FZR for the past 2 hours or so. Severna Park I went to bed this morning around 830 am when it flipped to sleet. I woke up a couple of times and still heard pingers. Finally got up around 4pm and it's been freezing rain since that time. I had 5.5" of snow before it flipped. I'm guessing around 7" total with sleet.

Eskimo Joe
Per @wxmeddler, looks like the freezing rain is showing up on the mesonet with several wind readings going to 0 mph. Probably from ZR locking up the anemometers.

As a Pats fan, game was almost as intense as the storm. 20” would be nice but I’ll take our 9+ inches of snow/sleet.

Very neat.

Yeah I'm not the biggest fan of sleet either, but this is literally the best way to get it. Getting 6"+ of snow underneath it, and to get it heading into a week where the pack will be an absolute glacier with lows in the single digits and low teens for days on end is a particular kind of deep winter many of us have never seen! Despite a very small tinge of jealousy of those up north that got 20"+ inches we could've gotten, the I am thoroughly enjoying this rather unique event and all it's glacial awesomeness 2

Very much a one-off event for these parts. At least it's not road salt. I wouldn't put it past some of these transportation departments to dump that much on the roads. Very neat. People keep mentioning the 2007 one but for me the Jan 1994 MLK sleet fest will always stand out. CAD held on all day and what was supposed to go rain stayed sleet all day and that was my first storm with sleet in inches. This one is now equal.

EHoffman
Looks like we have about 8-9" of snow/sleet on the ground. Really something. Seems like we got about 3-4" of sleet, which is absolutely unbelievable.
