Its amazing how awful these models are. You cant even take them seriously until at least 84 hours out now.

Subtract 36 hours from 84 hours and you may be correct...it is a complete waste of time to look at models beyond 48 hours...

MJO is a valid argument against. I should have explicitly mentioned that yesterday, although in my previous post I did say it gets more supportive beyond the 20th, when it hits phase 7. Like John always says, though...MJO is something you want on your side, but it's not 100% prohibitive....it either constructively or de-constructively interferes. I will say it is increasing in amplitude attm...

Euro is still 1-3" here. It had nada 12z yesterday. Still some room for this to inch a bit closer, given the AI guidance.  I think some were subsconsciously locking in the big GFS runs.
