What a pleasant surprise to wake up today to the models looking much better for tomorrow. It now looks as if we could see an advisory level event tomorrow -- probably a few inches.

Just woke up from a nap and it's 33/25F and snowing now - right on the southern edge of the precip, which wasn't really supposed to be here yet according to the models/HRRR.  And just saw the 12Z NAM - wow!

Snowing moderately right now with the temp just a shade above freezing at 32.5. Probably just a half inch to an inch on colder surfaces here today, but I'm excited about tomorrow now.

the only issue with all this western trend is it's gotten a little warmer so city and east got much heavier radar depictions, it'll be a bit warmer. hopefully dynamic cooling could help out

Temps are definitely an issue especially when precip is lighter-however the late evening burst could deliver

With everybody's temperature observations this morning, I was expecting to see, at best, a light mix of rain and snow.  Instead, central Union county NJ is snowing light to moderately at the moment (woke up with a light sprinking of powdered sugar on the ground).  As far as tomorrow's event, I can't remember a coastal ever "clipping" NYC.  It seems it is always a hit or a complete miss, so I'm expecting nothing...
