Latest point/click downgrades my totals but upgraded to blizzard warning. 4-6 to 12-18 in 30-40 miles?

I havent read the discussion yet but i know in some of uptons earlier comments, they were concerned that winds would be able to mix down a bit easier than in some of our other normal winter setups. So they may just be playing it safe because of those potential conditions.

January 2016 the cutoff was shorter than that here in Orange. I missed the goods by maybe 10 miles.

I made this earlier for a friend in nw NJ. These are the 2 jackpot zones imo. I think the northern zone actually extends further northeast than that though.

I’m also in agreement. My thoughts are on oragraphic lifting. Once the push off the ocean interacts with the mountains and the winds from the north, it will squeeze out moisture and dump it there.

Could be why they extend the blizzard warnings  northward into ulster and dutchess counties

It's awesome when Tomer lays down the knowledge. He's one of my most trusted voices in the field.

I'm expecting about 10" here so I'd be shocked if the rest of you guys didn't get much more than that. I spent a few hours driving around the Catskills with some short walks and photo ops, just taking in the light snowfall, watching the clouds, feeling the breeze pick up through the afternoon. A nice antidote to all the model-watching and screen time lately
