I dont know why this map has like 0 reports in NJ and around NYC. I know theres at least 1-2" there. I think upton does this thing where they dont post anything under 2, thats why you only see tenths of an inch and generally reports less than 2 in the PHI CWA.

Heaviest snow of the night, def seems to be some enhancement going on

It looks nice outside but it's definitely on the low end of the 4-8" predictions, lower than that actually. We had 1-2 hours of moderate snow and that's about it. We'll see how the rest of the night plays out but it's been a pretty lame storm overall.

NAM may not have been totally off it did have a nice band over NYC around 1:00 am and that generally seems to be happening.

Yes it's definitely not the most impressive storm totals wise, probably won't even reach what most of the area got December 14th. It is pretty though.

Best snow of the night, by far, and it looks like it might last 15 more minutes, lol. We're up to about 1.25" as of 12:15 am and this band could get us to 1.75 and maybe some snows later can get us to 2".

Yeah, it’s snowing again somewhat nicely now. About 1.5 dense, grainy inches on the ground. Very wintry. Main roads like Riverside Drive are snow covered. This time of year, only needed about 24 hours of AOB freezing to prep the surfaces to stick, even in the furnace of Manhattan.

So much of it is about expectations.  Prior to the 14th there was so much concern about a cold/dry, warm/wet pattern and how it would never snow again.  Then the area averaged over 6" on Dec. 14th, and before the first flake began to melt there was wailing about how the second half of December would be one big extended torchfest.  Yet here we are again with plowable snow in much of the area.  After it rains Sunday/Monday, looks like we're in the 30s at best the rest of the week.  There's not a member here, especially at the coast, who wouldn't have in October happily signed up for how this December has gone.

Not doing much of anything here, looks like this batch is favoring the south shore. I have maybe 4” now, haven’t measured.

I may have jumped the gun. Just went out there and it's about 3" and the heaviest of the night is coming down now and piling up quickly, hoping to get 4-5 out of it.

We got about 1/2" from that good band over the last hour or so and we're up to 1.7" as of about 1:15 am.  Still snowing despite the radar looking weak; the short range models also don't show much after 2 am, so I might actually get some sleep.  Not sure we'll make 2.0".

There’s just bands riding the south shore crawling… belt parkway camera has been whiteout conditions for almost an hour

That was at 5Z, the 6Z report is 2.3 inches.
