This batch we're getting now is mainly snow, so claims that it would be just sleet for the rest of the night were not correct. It's going to be fairly light though ... we won't even get close to the forecast amounts from early today.

I wouldn't rule out a couple inches. This should linger for a while. Still hope IMBY I make it to warning amount (need 2.5"). Light stuff with this ocean effect but not adding up to much.

In any event with the 3.5" now I have about 12" for the month which is awesome and still outside shot at 15" if we do well overnight.

Ocean effect less up by you. Go figure. South shore doing better at the moment due to ocean effect snow. I did get 1/2” from it

I would estimate when all is said and done that Central Park will probably measure around 3 inches which is the same as last storm. I guess it’s still a solid month overall, with 6 to 9 inches across most of the city the entire month and temperature is around 5° below normal. Coldest December in a while and our snowiest one since December 2020

Ocean effect snow band sitting overhead…never said that before, what a weird storm.

up to 4”

I just looked at the radar and said, did I have one too many drinks tonight or am I seeing ocean effect bands of snow?

What up Jeff! Hope all is well.

nice storm for us again.

Indeed.  I'm at just under 4" - i think.  Hoping to top off with at least 5" with whatever backbuilding there is.

Can't complain - 8" storm - then a coating and now this - before Jan 1st.  Amazing December.  Best in years!
