anyone reports from west of NYC with those bands? Is it any good or just another bust?

Nothing on radar in north queens but moderate snow. Maybe some ocean/sound effect snow. Appears to be nothing to our west. Just spotty precip

I'm under some of those instability type echoes moving s.e. from NE PA.  Steady light snow and 20 degrees atm.   Based on radar it is possible I can pull off another 1 to MAYBE 2" as these bursts of snow move through over the next few hours.  Anything that falls from now until the end will be snow.  Radar has filled in nicely over NEPA.

didn't even pick up 1.....clearly over in nj. if that ruins it somehow for those who actually got a snow event, try looking at it from our point of view....we know we are not always in the bullseye, no one ever is....but come on man, i legit had more snow from the minor event earlier this week....since not much was expected, getting half an inch of fluff was a nice surprise. getting half an inch when at the low end 3-6 was expected, and 4-8 being the general call,  is just a massive bust. in today's day and age, with all this more sophisticated equipment, they still make the kind of whacked out misses i used to see 25-30 years ago. i had relatives leave the state early to avoid the storm; then again, not really sorry about that....so maybe there was a silver lining....anyway enjoy what you got. watched two bizarre movies to pass the time, chainsaw man and bugonia....don't waste your time on either of them.

this has got to be one of the biggest busts in this area in years; i'm thinking not quite as bad as jan 2007, where there was a heavy snow warning and nothing happened at all..... but this was bad for our area. worst in a decade or more. it's barely a car topper, jfc.....there ain't nothing filling in here; this thing is done out here.

This batch we're getting now is mainly snow, so claims that it would be just sleet for the rest of the night were not correct. It's going to be fairly light though ... we won't even get close to the forecast amounts from early today.

But it's not over. Look out the window and you'll see that it's now snowing. We have a ways to go.
