RU848789
As of 9 am we have 5.7" otg at 31F and it looks like we'll hit 6"with another half hour of decent snowfall remaining and then some lighter snow after that. Starting to see a little wind bringing diem mini snow avalanches from the trees lol. Here's a pic.

CPcantmeasuresnow
I'm curious what anyone in Manhattan near central park thinks of the 1.1 "official measurement in the Park at 7:00 am? At 7:00 am 2.4 at EWR, 1.7 at LGA and 2.6 at JFK. If it was once you let it go but it's all the time. Maybe they should just stop and make LGA the official measurements in NYC or actually get a trained spotter near the Park to take them. I guess they just don't give a F. 1
jm1220
This will likely be a warning event overachiever for many and even did well north of the city due to a little help from the trough buckling and bringing moisture north. 1-2 degrees help and Central Park would be 5" right now too.

Central Park has been getting out of hand, especially since 2020. The only problem is that it’s still the official measuring site of NYC. So when people look back in the past on this storm, they’ll see there was only like 2” in NYC. That’s rubbish 1
NorthShoreWx
5.3" here as of 9:30. Good shot at 6". FYI, warning criteria here is 6", but not if they think the 6" totals will be isolated (or spread out over more than 12 hours) [edited for correctness]

If they measure again it should be more. The best accumulation was really just the last hour or so. Micronets show freezing temps only recently getting into the 5 boros and more so uptown. This is shaping up to be more a Sunday storm than a overnight one since the temps were relatively mild

oceanctyguy
Decent plowable snow here in northern Ocean County. Holding at 31-32 degrees for 90% of the storm. 6 inches and still coming down nicely. Krs4Lfe
Well for the most part, the storm behaved as expected for most places. Aside from parts of the 5 boroughs (which will likely be in the 3-6" range anyway when all is said and done) starting out a bit warm because of Urban Heat Island, this was a pretty good event for most people. Will probably see a swath of 5-7" surrounding NYC and then 3-5" in NYC. In line with most forecasts

jm1220
Definitely a heavy pasty snow too. Will be interesting to see how much water's in it, this will have staying power which is always good. The high QPF models won out for sure.
mob1
30 at the park now with snow continuing. I really hope this brings them to some semblance of a respectable number. Knowing them though, the final will probably be something silly like 1.3"
