Returns have been pretty light, but could have easily picked up an extra half inch or a bit more in the past two hours. It's very pretty, fluffy light snow. It has been snowing, albeit fairly lightly at times, for almost 14 hours now. Yes, 15 hours straight here and still snowing lightly when I just went out for a Jebwalk. It was quiet and 19°, with the snow crunching under my feet. Awesome!

Still lightly snowing from 5:30 this morning. You are colder than I am, 22.8 here.

Ephesians2
Storm total - 4.7" Measured 4.3" around 5:45 and an additional 0.3-0.4" since then. Snow depth is between 4 and 5 inches depending on where I measure, maybe a bit more in the grass. What a wonderful snow day.

SnowenOutThere
It is also somehow still snowing here. So far all I can say about the character of this winter is that it just never wants to stop snowing. 7

I can see the snowboard from the back window, guesstimate 0.5-0.7" has fallen since 7 pm clearing.

It's an equation for summing all of the projected snowfall for a given forecast period, along with accounting for compaction. 3
SnowenOutThere
Walked back to my dorm and it started moderately snowing again with some decent flakes. wxdude64
OK, I THINK it has finally stopped snowing (at least accumulating) so I'm gonna go see what is on the board to get a final number. It has snowed for a bit over 18 hours straight! Be right back... EDIT- so another 0.5" since 7 pm clearing, that makes the event total 5.6". Just a HAIR over 4.5" OTG. 9

You can afford to miss the snow because the snow gods have the Mid Atlantic in their sights this winter and there is going to be so much snow that many snow enthusiasts are going to be so tired of snow they will be snoozing a lot this winter. Also, because they will be so exhausted from shoveling snow tallies approximately 400 percent above normal in many communities. Congrats! Enjoy the snow! There will be tremendous amounts of snow this entire low sun season! This is destined to be a Brobdingnagian snow winter in the entire Mid Atlantic! SnowenOutThere
I measures 2.7in on a table, though on grass I was getting 3.5-4in so I’ll average it out to somewhere around 3 inches of snow. Fridays storm technically had a bit higher total but this storms more compact flakes makes it feel more impressive.

Icy look to the snow.. Look at those SPARKLES! Back in the Day years ago, the sparkles were what often made me yell woooooo-hooooooo so loud then RUN full in the snowpack throwing up plumes of fresh dendrites as I happily ran like an overly happy dog just got out of the gate!!!! I'd SLIDE on that ICE, too wooo-hoooing all the way! Then I'd turn up the Michael Jackson on my trusty headphones and start trying to dance like Jackson right on the ice out of sheer happiness so great I felt my heart would burst with pure JOY! I can still remember those days, even thru my knee hurting and now my damn NECK. 2
Buddy1987
Solid 4” easy here. Pretty awesome storm. Haven’t been able to shovel that much in what felt like a good while. Also nice in the fact that I was outside around 730 last night and the temp had dropped down to 25 at that point.

eyewall
We had about a half inch at home but I of course had to chase once more during the day and did so between Red Oak and Wylliesburg, VA. I was there in time for the real heavy band which was awesome. Here is some of what I captured:

Also the hints of red/orange/warmth that come through in snow pics/winter scenery IRL, like in these pics the cut firewood, berries, etc...the color palette is just, chef's kiss.
