Much better flake size the past hour or so even though radar looks less impressive than earlier.  Nice dendrites.  Up to a little over an inch now.  These bigger dendrites look very dry/sparkly on surfaces.

Definitely over performing here. We’re not even under a WWA. Not sure if it technically warrants that as well probably only end up with ~2in but so far it’s enough to make the roads a mess. They salted earlier but i haven’t seen them plow or resalt since things started and it’s making the roads a slick mess which i dint think the public was prepared for. Sure is pretty to get a fresh coating though!

Sure enough, got 3”. Three day total of 13.9”. 10” snow depth.

Five inches down Dayton, Ohio way over night. That's two 4 plus inchers for we southerners so far this season. Keep it coming!!!!!

Finished with 3.0” on the nose. Fun fact it’s December 2nd and Champaign has ALREADY surpassed our entire winter season snowfall totals from 2022-2023 and 2023-2024.

Got 4 here total. I'm at about the same depth as you. I think it'll be around for at least a week. Secondary roads are crap around here. Can't complain, especially if we can sneak out another this weekend!

In retrospect. A good 1-2” event. Looks like mid winter on December 2.

Picked up 1.2" of sugar snow here. Was very glittery and pretty. 3" on the ground with a good crunch to it. It was frustrating to be grazed by both storms but can't complain being at 6.9" on just December 2nd.

Finished with 1.3".  About 8-9" on the ground, with the weekend layer being pretty dense.

Looks like the airport picked up 5 even.    Seems about right, I measured 5.5 on the ground this morning.    The only explanation I can come up with for this early season....rare as of late...December snowfall, is the fact that I finally got rid of my snowblower last spring.   The crap this morning was way more heavy/wet than I expected too... so of course I was missing that snowblower.

In all honesty, this snow was more of a stressor than an enjoyment.   We have so much unfinished work to do, we do outdoor lighting.  

Congrats on your 2-hitter in Dayton.   That first one for us was a total dud.  Literally 5 minutes of flurries.   It's like the snow hit a wall between Dayton and Columbus.   Pretty damn impressive for folks in Ohio outside of the lake belt or far nw to get snow on snow in late NOV/ early DEC.     I guess the only question is if this early season bout is going to be winter's biggest blow or a taste of things to come.
