With the 1-2 inches of rain today and all that snow melt, definitely gonna be some downed trees and power lines.

I was listening to KYW about an hour ago and the traffic report was already talking about down trees (e.g., in Delco).

I'd be on pins and needles if this were to happen tomorrow night during this time frame and probably head to the bar who most likely have a backup generator. Birds game time tomorrow/Saturday at 5:00 p.m....

But flying cows!  :P

Temp here has dropped over 15 degrees from my earlier high and I'm down to 40 with dp 28.

Down to 35 F here, dropping and with the winds, just beautiful...

Up my way in northern Lehigh and Schuylkill Counties, downed trees, wires, and even some snapped power poles in New Tripoli on PA309 played havoc with the last two deliveries of my trucking work shift.

yep fully aware.  I am the Township manager for Lowhill Township.  Down and dead ash trees the last year I have been an absolute nightmare for my public works dept. Just as much of nightmare is the traffic signal timing that you have to deal with on Rt 100 for your water deliveries. Working on that too.

A return to chillier weather today with highs in the mid-40's. We stay below normal through Monday with maybe some wet snow arriving toward Tuesday morning. This should turn to rain pretty quickly from SW To NE across the area. Temperatures look to be near normal for Christmas Eve Day before we rise to about 4 degrees above normal for Christmas Day. Boxing Day looks to be the warmest day of the week before we cool down as we move toward the New Year's holiday.

ECM has it too .5-1.5"

Today's runs have widdled away next weeks torch to merely seasonal temps

Cloudy as well. I don't like a sunny Christmas. You can leave the outdoor lights on and people will be able to see them better...

Small chance of snow on the 23rd

When will it snow it would be great to watch snow falling two days before Christmas- 2am-8am the same time every single time

The miracle White Christmas in 1998. Temperatures really torched that month, with 2 days in the 70s in the first week, and temps in the mid-60s as late as the morning of the 22nd. Then, temperatures fell throughout the day, leading to the snowstorm on December 23-24, 1998.

I kinda, sorta remember that storm but don’t. How much did we get? I’m thinking it was a wet, nickel & dime thingy. Anyway…

Just got solstice’d, daylight is increasing, sun angle getting higher ;)

Happy first day of Winter to those that celebrate! We are at about our high temperatures for today with a cold front passing through this morning. Today’s temperatures will drop to freezing by evening. Below normal temperatures tomorrow with near normal high temperatures through Christmas Day. The warmest day of Christmas week looks to be on Boxing Day with temperatures well into the 40's and maybe even 50 in some valley locations. We turn chilly again on Saturday. It looks increasingly likely that snow will arrive by Tuesday morning's rush hour. We should see less than an inch of snow before any change to rain for most of the area with more up toward the Lehigh Valley. Additional rain shower chances for both Christmas and Friday.
