I don’t know WHAT people are talking about with the models changing; Rhode Island was totally screwed days ago, Rhode Island was totally screwed yesterday, Rhode Island is totally screwed today, and Rhode Island is totally screwed with the GFS 0z.  NOTHING.  Has Changed.

Perfect

BOX 5am update has a red BOX of uncertainty running from here up to near Lowell as snowfall amounts being uncertain; pretty sure it’s mostly rain here but wondering if they are concerned about higher elevations??

First covering of the year. It counts right?

03z HRRR coldest run in awhile .. would keep most areas NW of 495/90 snow through 21z

Mesos def cooled overnight. 06z NAM was still a bit warm b but other guidance went colder. Gonna be an interesting forecast for the N&W of 495/90 area.

Fwiw, the warm Nam was best all along down here in S Central PA despite the Eps having me in the jackpot stripe a few days ago. 1/2"+ before a change to sleet with rain soon to follow. Good luck up there, but be careful buying any colder models.

Woke up hoping for some model guidance resolution. I first checked the NAM with 2" dang it, GFS still showing 10. Talk about a now cast. NWS split the difference. Still holding out this thing bombs this afternoon. I'm good with whatever happens. Looking to ski this weekend, but I also got a lot of surveying fieldwork, but it aint gonna get done today.

I'd be hitting refresh on the HRRR/RAP and focusing on radar/looking out the window.  :)
