Same. I've had 5 and 1/2 inches since the beginning of July . More than most. My property is the driest I've seen it since the drought of 2020

Those drought maps always seem to have a decent lag… like a dry month or two doesn’t seem to change them much.  Just like it can rain a foot in two weeks and that thing will come out showing moderate drought still.

Im not sure what the indicators are they use, but they seem to be skewed very long term and don’t change fast.

I have no clue how we are not even in the abnormally dry down here....even our perennial shrubs are fully wilted with browning leaves and dropping like it is October. Grass is brown and crispy and has been....It won't be long until wells start dropping at this rate

Same down here around HVN. I think it's been even drier down by BDR but it looks they had gauge issues last month.

I‘m still picking 10-20 tomatoes all sizes per day . New yellow flowers on many plants. Picking 5-10 peppers a week , more growing and yellow flowers on cuke plants and picking a few per week. Should go well into Roctober with the coming warmth mid/ late month.

Thankfully acorns are very minimal this year Some of the ones that dropped thousands last year have none this year . A few dripping on some but now yield

I’ll know Saturday when I walk in, Lot of oaks and beech where I’m hunting, Last year was an enormous crop, Had to be careful walking in as there’s a few ridges to go up and down on, They were like walking on marbles.

We have had a bunch.  And they started early.  The ones dropping now are fatties.

I have two trees this year with fat boys. But not a high yield and manageable. Others that dropped fat boobs last year don’t have any this year. I’ve never been able to understand how they work. There’s one tree with those medium sized green ones that the squirrels have been up in daily .. chewing, shells everywhere,.. leaves and branches down daily that is triggering Last year was a hard hat year no matter the species.

I am still finding a few oak saplings in lawn from that nightmare drop last year.

Lol thread title

Really has been a beautiful stretch. Looks to continue too. I don't think anyone would complain about a little warm up for the second half of the month. Best August and September ever? Looking like it...

The beeches haven't died up there yet? Won't be long.

Haven’t been in the woods yet, I’ll know Saturday, I need to mark some maples too, I’m on a 150 acre parcel that I just started hunting last year so I have more scouting to do.

Still a lot of them here, but mostly sub 40ft trees under the pine/oak/hemlock canopy. I've been noticing the first BLD in them this year. There's still a lot of sickly, spindly, tall elms down by the "stream" too.
