mitchnick Posted January 1 Share Posted January 1 18z Eps ever so slightly improved from 12z. It's a little cooler at 850 and 5H anomalies shows the vort is not quite as deep. Confluence may be a touch better but it's hard to say for certain to these old eyeballs. Temps hovering just above 32ºF (32.5ºF currently). Going by the tenth, my weather station still actually hasn’t gotten down to the freezing mark at any point since overnight Dec 23rd. Temps are near freezing. The EC has switched camps and joined the Icon with the Jan 7th system being a Miller A now as well. Slides the low off the Northern NC Coast instead of climbing to near Ohio.
