The ensembles today provided a really good look for Winter storm chances in day 10 to 15.

Each global ensemble shows a -EPO with a ridge in the west providing a northwest flow delivering cold for the northeast. The southeast ridge gets muted, but would provide some resistance to keep a good moisture feed to our region in this look.

If this pattern comes to fruition, we should have some chances.

Celts had the ball up 50 or 51 with one min to go and a crucial turnover took away the record.  Millsap looked great

Yep, I was rooting for them. Disappointed that NBA teams essentially don't play the final 30-60 seconds any longer. Just dribble out the shot clock and give it up. They had time to drill yet another 3 and passed on it.

CTP finally picking up the very strong winds

Regarding Thursday`s highs, we`re still expecting them to reach
the mid 50s-mid 60s range, with readings actually peaking
during the evening hours, just ahead of the cold front. As for
the winds, as the boundary layer warms into Thursday evening
with steepening lapse rates up to the 900-850 mb layer, along
with a maximizing low-level jet, widespread gusts of 45-55 mph
seem likely, with even higher gusts still within the reasonable
realm of possibilities.

Looks like some residents of the burg will be retrieving their garbage cans after this wind event.

This the Gem's wheelhouse it seems.   It nailed the low temps a few days ago.  Maybe off this time, who knows.  Other models are closer to the mid teens like you said.

I don’t really watch weather channel.   I do tune in to see what color dress Stephanie Abrams is wearing.   That’s about it.

LOL, I knew it was sarcasm.  You are glued to a 1980's Weather radio for the latest updates.

I figure I’m one of the youngest in here so I don’t remember that.   I didn’t grow up with cable as well.  We lived back a 1200ft driveway and parents didn’t want to pay for the installation.

That was why I picked the weather radio.  It would be "new to you".  Ha.  No cable probably meant a more fulfilling childhood.  Not wasted glued to the TV.
