Merry Christmas!!

5” of paste here. Looks amazing clinging to the tree branches.

I think the GFS did a good job with this storm. Seems like we tracked it forever...but GFS consistently showed snow in WNY as a storm road up the cold front with rain issues from ROC east. Pretty impressive for 7-day lead time.

GFS actually performed very poor. It had it waaay east until just prior. It moved the storm at least 100 miles west in 24 hrs. It seems to grab the idea(long range)  ok but just murders the details. RGEM did great once it was in range. As did the 3k NAM. Euro did well.

Let's try this again? Lol

Precipitation chances will then ramp up again Wednesday night into
Thursday as the next stronger area of low pressure moves into the
upper Great Lakes. The setup with this storm system looks similar to
the situation we are are currently dealing with, even with a
potential wave developing along the system`s trailing cold front and
riding north along the boundary right across or near our area. This
will bear watching as it could have impacts for New Years Eve into
New Years Day. Stay tuned.

No thanks. One scar is enough.

Merry Christmas all!!!!

I'm in Staten Island and the night we had was a memorable one for sure!

Winds last night were just nuts, power outages everywhere down here. Temps stayed quite balmy throughout the night, as they stayed in the upper 50's all night.

It looks like our weather in the Cuse will stay the same for the foreseeable future, as this horrific pattern just doesn't wanna budge! It does look like our area, at least where I live, will see some LE on Monday-Tuesday as the next system departs the NE so we'll see how that plays out as I'm not confident of anything I see from most guidance.

My snowblower got through that heavy snow, it can get through anything. It struggled a little up the little slope of my driveway at the end where the plow came through, but other than that I love my new snowblower. I cannot imagine shoveling all of that stuff. The last 2 years I just shoveled, never again. ^_^

Seriously, who cares at this point, emoji38.png. I think the Cuse should go after the least snowiest season as we're doing pretty good so far, so why not.

The lowest season is I believe 32" so it's definitely possible. I say let's go for it!!

It's unreal how snow has danced around the Cuse these winters. Looks like you might be able to get in on some LES this weekend.
