Agreed - I like the ~6-8PM window for potential +SN in northern Queens/LI, Manhattan, CT and points north.

How far north? North and east or...?

Sorry I just never really know what metro area mets mean when they say that so I thought I'd see what you're thinking. There has always seemed to be more focus on N&W but that's almost always wrong for me and I'm ~55 miles due north of the Whitestone Bridge.

Didn't see anyone mention that, surprisingly, the NWS-NYC upped their snowfall forecast for NYC metro at 10 am. Not sure why, since there was no AFD update at the same time, but they did.  Here you go...

This would be my biggest this season

Cold 27 cloudy looks like snow is coming like a wall

Too bad it's going to move out like one too... should be a nice 45 minutes though. We take.

You're far enough north to see mostly snow before the dry slot moves in. Should do well up there.

45 minutes snow event? Whatever dry slot behind that snow wall will fill in. Your call was costing to 2 inches it looks like you may win lol

Queens. Should be ~2" at all 3 stations maybe less at JFK. Unfortunately this initial band is drying up as it approaches.

Light snow has begun here in Metuchen!  Band looks thinner, so hoping for 1/2" out of it...

Edit - 1 min later and it's moderate - didn't expect that, lol...

Just took a quick walk - gorgeous out there with moderate (not quite heavy) snow and 1/4" down; guessing another 1/4" before this band ends - nice!
