This is the remains of the garage next to the house in Enfield that my son rents. It collapsed under the weight of the heavy snow.

I'm assuming it was an old garage.

Yeah that seems high Ray. I forget what your station shielding looks like. Is it loaded with snow blocking the passive airflow?

I think some of those passive shields can be susceptible to reflected solar radiation from the underside as well. The ASOS sites around you were all in that 37ish area. We had a lot of sun up here and even CON only reached 39F.

I cleared the snow off of the top...not sure. 40.3 now seems reasonable...

That definitely is more reasonable. It's windier today, so maybe that helps too.

Eps has been horrible this season. Gefs has been pretty good.

You are forgetting the -epo.

All I have seen from you are warm forecasts until it gets closer lol

The -EPO tends to dump cold further west first then east.

Seeing a soaring AO/NAO doesn't inspire much confidence. The past storm that dumped on SNE had a transitioning -NAO/AO or the complete opposite of what we're seeing now.

Unless the -EPO/+PNA combo is very strong a la 2013 it won't be enough to overcome the lack of blocking. Our only chance would be a front-end dump from a well timed SWFE.

Glad I didn't live here, then... 18" in Wilmington was like 7" of sand in Methuen lol

I'll never forget that slow crawl north. Left my house in Brockton in S+ (think we CJd for awhile there). Drove north to Hyde Park to my grandmother's house at the time (same place I was at for 4/1/97) and not even a flake. The house was on a hill that faced towards Blue Hill. I watched the lights of the ski slope on Blue hill disappear and I swear it took almost an hour to go 5 miles...lol.
