March 3-4, 2019 Snow/Rain Event

Recommended Posts

Just measured an inch here. See the snow pile with the top flattened awaiting more snow. Sticking to the driveway now but sure is slushy underneath. The hill behind the snow pile had lost about all of it's snow from Friday yesterday, even with the cloudy day.

Looking at COD radar, it looks like the rain line is encroaching upon Wilmington and the PA/MD line -- a little worried about that.

It will crash SE as the coastal low picks up steam and heads NE.

Temp down to 33 now.  Snow is starting to stick on colder asphalt street/lot surfaces.

Same here. It usually starts sticking on the outskirts/perimeter then works its way in. Mod/34F

This shouldn't be a surprise. Models had the warm tongue punching into SE PA.

Well, some models did, and not until a bit later, like 8 or 9 pm. Meanwhile it's still snowing at least moderately and 33F.

Don’t really understand the point of the Special Weather statement just issued, confirming the incoming snow. Seems redundant due to the WSW....

It's more to highlight the potential for heavy rates and the dangers that would accompany those rates.
