Opted against the beach for the pool today with the 10 month old ...and it did..got down to the beach(yesterday/sunday) around 10:30 am..wind was light out of the NW and it was V. hot..winds went calm just before the sea breeze kicked in and cooled us off...all in all a classic day at the shore.
