dwagner88
The HRRR does NOT look very good. I'm not its biggest fan, but it is very light for the central valley and has essentially nothing in the southern valley. Looks like TRI does OK, maybe 2-4" there. I think we have the possibility of 3-4 ish Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk This is not anything like that storm....And from the 12Z suite, I don't see any of the typical models with anything more than a few hundreths for Chatt at best. We are going to be lucky to get more than a few flurries....

Blue Ridge
Yea, It looks like 19 counties on the Tennessee side have been upgraded to WSW.Six separate WSW products are out now. PowellVolz
850 low moving dew east IMO. Cold air is really squeezing out the low level moisture here in Knox. Very fine snow falling at a good clip that's not on radar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jaxjagman
HRRR and RAP both have a shortwave moving into the SW parts of the Valley later this afternoon, better chance of snow would be there, possibly into the Mid Tn,but it looks light, but still snow. Both show temps getting into the single digits tonight in Mid Tn

dwagner88
HRRR is improving a bit. It's better this hour than the last run. More like 2" Knoxville, up from nothing to maybe 1" Chattanooga (it's very near the cutoff though), about the same 2-4" TRI.

To my untrained eye it looks like the HRRR over the last 5 runs have shown a W and NW trend in precip.

John1122
HRRR gets better the closer it gets to an event. It's usually almost exact within 3-6 hours, but of course gets less so beyond 10.
