Classic El Nino June here with colder than normal centered from the Great Lakes to

New England and warm over the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. We were right in the

battle zone between warm and cold so the monthly departure didn't stray too

far from near normal. The wetter pattern this month was also typical for

developing El Ninos.

Incessant, annoying drizzle and 62F in Port Jeff. June has taken quite a different fork in road compared to May. El Niño summer is here, regrettably.

agree.  Shades of 2009 here.  (although not as bad this year)   Problem right now is that the rains are on the weekends-need it to get back to the Mon-Tue routine we had earlier.

Yeah, June 2009 will be hard to beat - what a disaster that was. But we are in a murky, repeating pattern - one that seems to have taken hold immediately proceeding Memorial Day. July 2009 had like a 2 week break of amazing nice weather before it all went down hill again mid July. I really hope some other factors keep the rain and dreariness aimed at center of country but like Han, I'm getting a bad feeling about it.
