This was the first time that San Diego surpassed San Juan for July monthly rainfall.

San Diego set a new record for July rainfall at 1.71 inches while San Juan was the

fourth driest at 1.61 inches. The normal July rainfall in San Diego is 0.03 inches

while San Juan is 5.07 inches.

Assuming San Juan, PR?   The cooler than ave carribean has lead to some big droughts in the islands

if i believed in god i'd pray for a warm winter. the plants and fauna could use a recovery

We need record cold temps to kill some of these nasty pests. Too bad the odds of going below zero in this new era are virtually zero.

If you just cut and pasted near to above normal NYC seasonal snowfall every year

out of the last 15, then you would have a 73% success rate and be the hottest long

range forecaster on record. Only four winters since 2000-2001 were duds.

The 12/30/00 snowstorm was probably the greatest long term winter pattern

change marker of all time for our area.

Went to Six Flags today. Beautiful day.

I live about 10 mins away.

Im counting down

It's odd driving down the belt parkway. Beautiful ocean and view of Staten Island and Sandy Hook on right and on left side crummy looking houses and buildings. It has that beach town feeling but it's nothing like a Wildwood or an LBI or even a Seaside.

Wildwood > Seaside > Coney Island. The only good thing about Coney Island are the Brooklyn Cyclones.

Shame. The warm months just seem to fly by. Soon we'll be back to the terrible days where it's dark at dinner time. It feels like the cold and darkness lasts so much longer than the bright and beautiful weather.

You must have missed the new Hamptons lite section down there.

It's not suppose to be anything like it. That's what makes nyc different than jersey lol

Yes. I go to Wildwood every Summer and there's nothing that compares to it. Big Boardwalk, tons of food and games, rides, and free beaches. The Crest is really nice too. It has the best hotels and the Doo Wop District, not to mention it's not to far from the boardwalk. Seaside, Ortley, so on are all great too.

To each his own I guess.

They are transitioning to concrete in spots now. Long Beach fortified the central section of the

boardwalk along the edges with concrete to hold up better after Sandy.
