Stations on the GYX reporting list showing dews to 75 at 1 PM.  The pws that comes up on Wunderground for New Sharon (station's actually next door in Mercer) shows a dew of 79, HI 109.  Assuming that's an accurate reading, the instrument must be closely surrounded by forest in full transpirational mode.

Svr watch now includes Franklin Cty; wonder if the hvy stuff makes it this far east today.

My dews on my PWS is not accurate

starting to look like today is just going to be mostly distant rumbling in every direction with rain.

As of 4pm I am craftfully  missing every storm too.  Lots of thunder and lightning but just sprinkles so far.  Still lots of rain to the SW but definitely looks like no severe threat now as air has cooled and its solidly overcast. Storm prediction Center has upgraded us for a slight again tomorrow.

Picked up 0.51" in roughly 25 minutes from that t-storm.  No real wind to speak of, just torrential rain.  Was on my way home from a friend's house and traffic was pretty much at a standstill (the type of rain where people just put their flashers on and call it quits, haha) on RT 108.  Down to a refreshing 69F as the rain ended.  I'm up to 0.68" on the day, with 0.12" at 5am, 0.05" around 2:45pm, and then 0.51" at 4:45pm.

Radar did a great job with that estimation...showing around 0.5" here (I'm the blue dot, ~1.5 miles WNW of the center of Stowe).

Looks like J.Spin would've gotten in on the same storm with similar rainfall.

Bummer for the BTV fireworks...that's easily the best fireworks shows I've ever seen, used to love going to those when I lived there.  Fireworks over the harbor, with boats parked all around the lake outside the Coast Guard restricted area.  Hopefully they can get the show in.

Littleton got hit today by a severe storm around 3 pm.  It looked like it briefly took on supercellular characteristics judging by the reflectivity data.  I measured 1" hail at my apartment and there was very gusty winds and flash flooding.  In my neighborhood there was some small branches and larger rotten branches down, and the rest of town had a few trees down in scattered areas.  When I drove down Route 302 toward Lisbon the tree damage became more extensive and concentrated.  Large trees are uprooted and many healthy trees are snapped in half on either side of the road.  I think it is possible that a microburst hit there as all the tree are fallen in a north and northeasterly pattern.  Very exciting day!

I was looking at that cell on radar... pretty nasty looking.  Passed really close to some folks I know up there.

That area has had some brutal looking storms the past few years.

Yes, 0.46” on the day, from 0.13” at morning observations and 0.33” subsequent to that.  I wasn’t around in the afternoon, but I suspect a good chunk of today’s liquid was from that storm you showed.

67.8...70s min fail

70/69 here right now...still excessively humid.

Visibility at the ASOS has been at 2.5 to 5 sm vis with haze/mist.  Very thick air.

The novelty of this weather is starting to wear off already.  Although, the good news is, after this the dews in the lower 60s will feel refreshing.  50s will be downright luxurious.

One year when I was in Key West, the first week had dewpoints of 77-78 and highs of 86-88, and then a front came through.  It felt amazingly dry and comfy so I was surprised to see it was like 84/71.  Amazing how quickly your body adapts.

Friday Night

Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 50s. Northwest winds around 10 mph.

Sunny. Highs in the lower 70s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday Night

Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 50s.

Last 4 days' highs: 82,84,86,88. Don't think we'll continue that trend today, maybe top out around 85. Storms yesterday dropped 0.70", never raining really hard (unlike what I drove thru on the way home), and nothing like the 4" in an hour that some folks to our west are dealing with.

Man this is a SVR storm. The Littleton microburst caught on camera with trees snapping and all.

Now that's a true severe thunderstorm!   Meanwhile today has been much more quiet for most of C/NNE than I would have thought
