Snowing moderately, leaning towards heavy at my office in the City of Poughkeepsie.

I grew up in Buffalo, and it looks an awful lot like being under an intense lake effect band out here now

 

Small world, I grew up in South Buffalo and live in Poughkeepsie.

Rob, have you tried that new Amazon shovel yet? This will be a good stress test for it.

Yep, I've been breaking it in. I'm still able to use the old one too for now, the snow is light weight enought that I've been using both pushers side by side in the driveway. It makes quick work of it it that was before these heavy rates moved in.

AS OF 1113 AM EST...A BAND OF HEAVY SNOW WITH SNOWFALL RATES OF 2-4
INCHES PER HOUR WILL CONTINUE TO SIT OVER THE AREA THROUGH THE EARLY
AFTERNOON. SNOW WILL GRADUALLY MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO SLEET FROM
SOUTH TO NORTH DURING THIS TIME PERIOD. AN ADDITIONAL 3-6 INCHES OF
SNOW ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON.

IN ADDITION...WIND GUSTS OF 30 TO 40 MPH ARE EXPECTED...RESULTING IN
NEAR ZERO VISIBILITY.

TRAVEL IS NOT RECOMMENDED THROUGH THE EARLY AFTERNOON. MOTORISTS
SHOULD EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION.
