powderfreak
Do you not see the storms about to enter SW CT? Yeah there's one cell heading towards Litchfield County and that's it. You made it sound like stuff was popping everywhere. This is isolated showers with a chance of a rumble.
Typhoon Tip
18z NAM still doesn't seem to have any clue that there's a BD in the area. It also offers a 2-meter of nearly 33C for the afternoon of the 4th, for eastern areas! And, that's would to be 70+ DP stuff.

powderfreak
lol, maybe we need to bump up the posts again to remind you... He may have very well liked the heat but his posting style was all cold year round. Back door fronts always getting to NYC, starting summer threads with titles like "ECMWF says no big heat in the northeast for at least two weeks", etc. But that's the past and it won't change now. It's not even worth discussing, as its obviously a sore spot.
Ginx snewx
don't worry, the front will lift north tonight and you guys can resume whining for the next weekas long as the sun shines and it dries out. Most of us whining actually get out of the house to enjoy recreation activities.

weatherwiz
There is a piece of energy coming northward from the mid-Atlantic, however, it may be too far west to provide much of a focus except western CT and perhaps MA. Also, we may begin to lose instability by the time it approaches.

weatherwiz
Another great call by wiz on the BDF not making it to Logan ??? I've never made a call about that.
weatherwiz
Heights have been rising all day long as well...something that could have also actually enhanced the progression of the BDCF
powderfreak
as long as the sun shines and it dries out. Most of us whining actually get out of the house to enjoy recreation activities. Yeah just get the sun out more often. Dews and temps are fine, it's summer. Get us some sun and nice weather for those of us that spend most of our time working and playing outside...not hanging out in AC watching the temp and dew inch up on a screen. mob1
??? I've never made a call about that. I think he meant Kev, who claimed the front won't even get to BOS.
weatherwiz
I think he meant blizz, who claimed the front will wash out in northeast MA. Ahh...makes sense
Nate
Love these BD fronts. Probably no more than a mile and a half northeast of me. Almost looks like a little kink in Canton where it would flow right down the Neponset Valley or in the shadow of Blue Hill (seen on the TDWR radar)
H2Otown_WX
Don't have thermo yet. Low 70s I guess. Can see low clouds to the east. Blow some of that air down here. Rain has cooled us off to 78. How did local mets. do with the placement/timing of the BDF?

weatherwiz
What over the past 4-5 days is keeping the precip coming up the coast to stay west of Hartford? Strong ridging off to the east has kept much of the pieces of energy riding up along the trough to our west from moving too far east
