When will the Twin Lakes Snow Cam melt?

Yeah they leave it up, but take down the measuring board that stands next to it when the snow melts.

November 22nd would probably be a very late first snow, but I'm sure its possible.

Johndee's latest first snow according to his records is Nov 9th.

Looking at the 15 day GFS loop, I don't think Twin Lakes will make it past next week without its first official snow.

I think the stick will return by Halloween. As for the first recorded snowfall - thinking between the 17th and 23rd, October.

It always snows and melts about 3 or 4 times before it stays. The question is is going to be like last year and quit the second week of December and then wait until mid January like last year. I only had a trace of snow at Christmas last year here in Hancock and then when Mid January came it cut loose and we it snowed into April.

That's true, but it used to be quick. The pic size changed at the same time.

I used to check it and wait, now I don't have to patience to sit and wait the 20 seconds..feels like the 1990s.

looks like Twin Lakes snowpack will be leaving a few weeks early this year. With a high of 69 forecasted there today, it should wipe out most of the snow over the Keweenaw.

Up around John Dee's place, he still has around 20" in the woods.

Same around here... 20-30" in a local area. Today should really see some melting with mid 60's and 30-40 mph winds.

wish the same could be said for here, but it's coming very soon. mid 50's today and sun. sooo enjoying Spring! Doing lot's of cleanup and planning landscaping stuff.

I have two webcams from the Twin Lakes place on my website. Looks like the lakeside is bare but just a bit left in the back yard.
