Haha that is is. RUC is keeping 0-1km SRH and EHI pretty high across ME, srn VT, NH, MA, CT, and srn NY all through the afternoon (>200J/kg). This would be more than enough to support tornadoes with the CAPE profile in place. In fact, I would venture there to be a strong tornado or two if this really does pan out. I would honestly probably put out a 10% hatched area for SNE and NYC metro if I were making an outlook.

LOL...I knew when I saw you in here that you liked the setup for some TOR's today. i wish we could get a general sense of where the best areas would be to chase. I think from Western mass down to about BDL in CT is primo

Yeah RUC has winds very backed in metro NYC and areas northeast into SNE which enhances tornado threat. Will be interesting to see what SPC does at 1630.

Another thing is, though not a true EML by any stretch, some very good mid-level LRs made it into NE and the mid-atl on the 12z soundings this morning, anywhere from 7.7 to 8.0°C/km.

I would agree with that and probably extend it into srn VT and srn NH.
