Wind reports coming in just N+E of DC... TWC had a clip of coverage in Chevy Chase where several large trees were down.

874 reports so far plotted on SPC... could we hit four-digits?!? Simply amazing.

Dang it must have just missed me to the North then, it wasn't terribly bad here.

Strange event for me. According to the radar images the heaviest part came thru my hood a little before 4am. But I was awoken by thunder at 4:45am. Either I slept through some really good lightning at the beginning, or the lightning didn't rev up until the line was east of me closer to Baltimore.

Winds blew down small limbs? Is this really worth the report?

Of course! You should see the carnage in my yard. Thousands of cherry blossom petals along with a few sturdy twigs were ripped from the trees. Some of the petals appear to be facing in different directions, so I'm wondering if that is indicative of rotation. I've asked the NWS to look into it, but haven't heard back yet.

You should ask your county Office of Emergency Management to declare a disaster area
