  1. Past hour
  2. Well that escalated quickly. Severe storm in Huntingtown, big wind and heavy rain for the past hour. We lost power about ten times in 30min, I'm sure that was good for the household electronics. Glad we have a propane stove so we were still able to make dinner.
  3. Huge strike and boom north downtown silver spring just now... That probably distracted a lot of folks on the beltway. Tons of energy zapping around. Here's a better shot of the poplar that got zapped on my street at 330pm. Looks like a tree bomb went off, bark scattered all over the street. Luckily my house is outside the fall radius ... But power lines and several houses aren't. Hope it doesn't fall!
  4. Well, since nearly all other climate experiments and research has been squashed we should be happy ours will be ignored and be more likely to continue unimpeded.
  5. Quick downpour in mahwah. Purple and pink skyes as I walked out. Nothing now. Radar looks incredible everywhere except where I'm driving too. Sussex county for the win... Again..
  6. Similar forecast maps leading up to last winter. Gulf coast looks bone dry on that forecast, meaning little/no chance of miller A coastals. So like the last 2 winters, we need to get our snows from northern streamers that trend south or deamplify in short lead times.
  7. So far via weather underground 4.36 Asbury park and 4.13 Herbertsville...sough edge of our forum. That's today only. does not include anything last evening.
  8. Southern MD about to get drowned.
  9. .85” for me - my gauge hadn’t updated earlier
  10. I would say June was comfortable the first half, although wet. The second half mostly hot.
  11. Picked up 0.2" pretty quickly there. Temp is down to 76F. Couple screen grabs from the time lapse I captured.
  12. I think we finally got a round in my yard after missing the first 2 rounds earlier... ill see when I get home.. Definitely over here in Northern Albemarle into Green there is going to be some big totals...
  13. Wow. My sister went to Dickinson. That FB feed brought back memories of visiting her. It is a lovely campus and Carlisle is a nice town. Thankfully no one was hurt.
  14. Brother lives in new Britain and lighting hit something about 1/10th of a mile from his house
