This year should be much wetter I would imagine...hopefully El Nino doesn't get too strong. -
Looks like a decent snow shower coming down the Catoctins.

What kind of leader are you?.

Winter 2025-26 Medium/Long Range Discussion
DocATL replied to michsnowfreak's topic in Lakes/Ohio Valley
Oh, I definitely think we will see snow again, I’m just not sure of anything impactful IMBY. Definitely not over for points north. . -
At least we have upslope pics to get us through.

It’s disturbing

Pittsburgh/Western PA WINTER ‘25/‘26
Gordo74 replied to Burghblizz's topic in Upstate New York/Pennsylvania
To me, that’s also bonus snow. I’m focused squarely inside the hashmarks of meteorological winter (Dec, Jan, Feb). I like that we get (mostly) all four seasons and look forward to the next one by the end of the 3 month stretch. Wouldn’t mind taking some from summer to add to fall though all things considered. Although, that said, if we get an absolute whopper of a storm to track in March, I won’t be upset and it would be nice to get above average for the season (storm or otherwise), but I’m very happy with how the three months setup, with Feb focusing on the cold more than the snow. -
You just love seeing these types of storms days after we come out of a historically cold period. It warms the heart.

Maine is going to head into spring and summer already in a drought.

LET IT GO -
Yeah we may sneak some cold at times. But -WPO block eventually moves west and we warm Canada. Probably means milder late Feb and early March. Until then we better hope it’s more overrunning because it’s close to banana hammocks too.

I mean...OK

Has become strangely windy in Annapolis.

Agreed. It’s still not warm at all for you as you average NN during this 3 week period on this run. However, that’s a bit warmer than the prior run, which had y’all averaging a little BN. Hoping the next few runs reverse cooler from this in the E US.

I salute you

i think that’s the year we had an upslope gone wild episode with about 4 feet over a couple of days. It seems like upslope is just something that they really can’t forecast well. I mean even today the forecast is for 20% chance of snow before 8. It’s been snowing moderately since I got up and obviously more than moderately overnight.

I just want a biggie here at this point. Like some said, and old fashioned coastal with CCB and wind. And then we can call it a day
