No (for Sun/Mon). Overlaying them 18z looks more like the ECMWF. 12z looked closer to the GFS. Not a great start to 18z.

It was quickly moved to banter, yet Ji will continue to post in here and the curse will live on

Pittsburgh/Western PA WINTER ‘25/‘26
TheClimateChanger replied to Burghblizz's topic in Upstate New York/Pennsylvania
Here’s what the NWS is forecasting. 1-2” mostly, but 2-5” along & north of I-80. They do highlight that area as having the potential to see as much as 6-8” in spots due to lake bands. They also suggest the possibility of a band in the west with up to 3-5 inches possible should that occur. -

Is your ground frost free yet? -
Sounds like we offered him an identical deal too, smh Guess he had other reasons for choosing them!
-
The 18z NAM adjusted from 12z to look more ECMWF-like than GFS-like. That's not a strong start to 18z.

42 off of 47 here. What a torch. -
Holy shit this needs to be tagged/pinned for all to remember. Pedro Serrano would sacrifice ji instead of a live chicken.

Enabling Ji for years has created this curse on MA. Snow gods aren’t giving any snow around here until they sacrifice his bitch ass. His alter ego Facebook page sucks ass too

Unlikely. It might cut the heart though. -
Nam has some snow Saturday west of 95 but it’s almost hour 95, so there’s that.
-
It was better than the 12z, looked pretty decent actually.

To me Nam looks to be more in the GFS camp then the others. -
Just what I was going to say. Orientation is more similar to the Euro but it is a good bit further west. Ultimately it would’ve been the next few frames that really would’ve mattered with how it rounds the base of the trough.

Doesn’t looks that much different
-

I thought more in line with the Euro than the GFS, but somewhere in between. Not worth dissecting the 84 hr NAM though
-
The RUFUS has the same moisture feed as the NAM but is very warm, and it rains over the entire area.

We hold gold medals up this way for downslopes and dryslots

will the 18z GFS get us hyped again?

It doesn’t go out far enough to give anyone a NAMing (not talking about the more mid range system John is) but it does pop a low in the west central gulf -
-
Well, 18z NAM isn't GFS like.
