  1. Past hour
  2. Slightly warmer tonight so far here currently 14f dew point 1f this time last night it was 8f dew point -4. It’s all relative at this point but this is the coldest I remember going back to the later 1980s.
  3. I might actually agree with this. I haven't really seen it oscillate at all, with regards to QPF location. Just up/down with amounts.
  4. Yeah thats a big change for 12hr… wonder how it changes downstream. Must’ve had some recon ingested.
  5. I agree with the Atlanta and metro area, but not out towards winded. 0.3” QPF with 15:1 to 20:1 ratios. Athens will most definitely be getting hit hard with 3-6”. West of Barrow county is where QPF will be super low and around 0.1”. Athens looks to be at 0.3”-0.4” of QPF which would easily lay down 3-6”. The cutoff is west of Barrow into mid Gwinnett. .
  6. Doom and gloom on this board over a possible epic storm. You guys like snow, right? We are chasing snow in the south. Isn't the reason that we track because of the possibility of a super rare event, and that's exciting? Stop chasing every model run, they are all wrong. That is what makes this a fun hobby, that they all might be wrong. Your gf didn't dump you if the gfs comes in south. Let's keep it in perspective. I hope y'all score! No, I am not that new here
  7. Well my “directly south” facing roof here has more than a foot of snow still on it after 4 days of sun…so I dint know what to say. Maybe that salty air is eating it up out there?
  8. I really do think it does a good job finding a warm nose , but on snow totals yeah been there done that and lost many times lol .
  9. These were more or less normal winter temperatures 40 or 50 years ago. Most winters had sub zero temps at some point (not NYC). That probably controlled pests better.
  10. So I guess he cares a little …Ya…he’s gotta work on that.
  11. simplest answer..Classic definition of being "in the middle" Not quite west or north enough enough to benefit from cooler temps, not quite east or south enough to be too warm for most winter storms. so we get everything possible that falls between these two extremes..which tends to be just meh. average. most times
  12. That might be a fair price, depending on size. Someone in my neighborhood with a medium size driveway had a crew come in to clear it after everything had frozen into concrete. Took 5 guys with landscape shovels over 45mins. No clue how much she paid but assuming at least $30/hr per person. Landscape companies are raking it in. Saw a convoy of trucks loaded with snow, with a bobcat on a trailer. Some of these townhouse communities have no where to put it all.
  13. This caught my eye... Sent from my Pixel 10 Pro using Tapatalk
  14. I have CarPlay Weather Radar which is pretty good
