  1. Past hour
  2. Except this particular one is unverifiable. The rest were farther north...
  3. Roselle always used to come in with high reports - almost became a running joke where we'd speculate there was a 1-2 inch add on rule for any storm under 10 inches and with the bigger ones, just make sure you're 3-4 inches more than anywhere else.
  4. it was the last to catch on to a mixing event by a long ways for yesterdays storm
  5. Last Monday's 12Z GFS for this past weekend's storm: But yeah, would prefer every model agreed we's a gettin' a blizzy.
  6. GFS probably gonna be further north on this 12z run
  7. GFS is trying tho, just gets started too late it seems. Just a wee bit of difference
  8. Taken at Springfield College around 1:00 am they were just out of some of the heavy band at this time .
  9. 12z ICON suite made a big step towards the Euro solution. Hopefully we can get the CMC or UKIE on board!
  10. Anyone see official storm totals? I’m estimating maybe 3/4” sleet and 0.15” ZR here but that’s up for debate. Could’ve been less
  11. If euros continue to hold gfs will catch on by Monday.
  12. There's no such thing as a jinx in weather. Thread started.
  13. ICON made a pretty good move towards the euro as did its ensembles. Anyone have the 0z UK?
  14. Gfs hasn’t got a system right in forever. 3 storms ago had a monster storm for that Thursday system… wrong, last system it had it staying south the longest of models.. wrong.
  15. Yes I am here. Yes I am an idiot. This time though I wont get too excited until 3 days out.
  16. Yeah, Id rather have the Euro/AIs in our camp rather than the other way around. Would be nice if GFS or another model suite confirmed tho, ngl
  17. GFS is always bad until it shows what we want! :D! We need alignment though for confidence! Will be glued to Euro 12z. I would say to get a new Medium to Long Range thread, but we are in the final week of January and if we have a storm, I say do a storm thread and new med/long range at the same time.. just my 2 cents.
  18. I think it was or Tuesday perhaps, which is equal to where we are now.
  19. My arms and back are hating me for being cheap and not buying a snowblower. Was about 18" before bed, looks like we picked up another 2" overnight.
  20. Yeah I'm sure it seems like weenisim to say that now because it didn't show what we want, but literally...it completely crapped the bed until 24 hrs before the previous storm. Hard to trust it in either direction
  21. Anyone else shovel the snow and are facing a 3-5" arctic sleet tundra to shovel today - the Big Mutt tool dominates. Plastic shovel and salt was a failure. Bonus you can chop up blocks to make an igloo (pic later) or get on one knee and scrape the ground to make shoveling a breeze. Folks with bad backs stay on one knee to shovel that heavy stuff away. Edit: A square point shovel or spade should suffice.
  22. Cue the obligatory Kylo Ren "More" GIF. Although N&W may want to hold it until later in the week with the model runs.
  23. i had a hell of a time digging one of my cars out this morning. dam snow blower actually had a piece of ice blocking the tine mechanism. worked fine this morning, but yesterday i was screwed and my hands started to frostbite right through the gloves. i went back inside and warmed up first. reports near me are 10.8 in metuchen, but i think we had more than that over here in colonia. looked to be around a foot with some serious drifts. by the way its hard enough for my dogs to walk on top, and we had no zr that is saw; there was no glaze this morning.
  24. 12z monday GFS was the one that came in probably 250 miles south of the other models right
