  1. Past hour
  2. As much as I loved March 2008 being in Ohio, Id say Presidents Day 2003. It was almost exclusively a day time storm and the amount for me was truly unexpected.
  3. It was either Mike Bono or Dave Schwartz that was on air that morning and made a comment like “that’s nothing to be embarrassed about”
  4. Morale is hitting rock bottom after the failboat set sail. Buckle up.
  5. Bichette to the Mets. It better snow soon.
  6. Hopefully someone will still score. Maybe Larry lol.
  7. We used the 3 day rule this time. The other board started their thread at least a full day before ours. 3 days is the correct time imo
  8. HRRR still way NW, man what a thump for NNJ through Litchfield county into VT. Widespread 3-6” with a 6-12” swath
  9. I'm not sure what you mean. I'm interested - fascinated really - why the AI models have been consistently west of their parent models for the past few days. I have not seen that behavior consistently or persistently earlier this season. And I offered one potential explanation for this specific situation. I reflexively tend to think the least snowy model will be correct, even if that's not scientifically sound.
  10. Rain Saturday. Sunday looks to the better of the two events for us. Far eastern areas coulD see some mixing Sunday as of now but lets hope things change for the better
  11. Guess my severe thinking next weekend is getting crushed..lol
  12. We waited until 72 hours. The 0z runs before the thread opened had already gone downhill. Thread was started at 12z yesterday
  13. And all the sleet That storm was annoying even as it turned out to be great. Hours of sleet in the middle. Could have been damn near 3 feet here instead of 20" or so. Can't recall the exact total.
  14. Another theory is always trying to find a way to justify why the snowiest models are correct
  15. Think small. If I get 2" out of this its the biggest event of winter. WPC had my yard at about 30% as of this morning, and 70% of >= 1".
  16. Many of the posters on here live near the coast. The event for tomorrow will primarily affect interior areas. The one for Sunday if it happens will be a coastal event.
  17. You saying rain for Sunday or Saturday Im guessing you're talking about 2 things at the same time?
  18. the old weather channel tower mn boiling cup of water trick
  19. URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Albany NY 1236 PM EST Fri Jan 16 2026 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 1 AM EST SUNDAY... * WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 9 inches. * WHERE...Portions of northwestern Connecticut, western Massachusetts, eastern New York, and southern Vermont.
  20. That's irrational modeling by the EURO. With excellent radiational cooling, maybe. With a 13 mph wind and 76% cloudiness over Augusta, 0 ain't gonna happen.
  21. The reason I’m focused on Sunday is because it seems to have greater potential for my area. Doesn’t look like much accumulation or possibly all rain for me in Suffolk county LI
  22. PSA for the columbia/bmore crew.....Sapwood has 3 new BA Stouts out today.
